Nolan McDonagh: Writing The Khabib DVD
McDonagh is an experienced journalist and has been working on a documentary about the fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The documentary will be released in 2019.
McDonagh spoke to RTÉ Sport about writing the documentary, his thoughts on McGregor’s current state, and how he plans to deal with UFC 229 aftermath.
“There was a lot of behind-the-scenes footage that I got access to that wasn’t used in the main event, so it was interesting getting to see that stuff. It’ll be interesting seeing how people react to it when it comes out because some of it isn’t what they were expecting. I think people will be surprised at how much story there is to tell in relation to this fight and the build-up to it.”
McDonagh also touched on McGregor’s future in MMA and whether or not he will ever fight again. He doesn’t seem too sure about it, but he does want to finish off his documentary before making any decisions about his future.
